 Berlin, 28. Juli 2006 – Erstmals werden sämtliche 22 Bühnewerke Mozarts auf einem Festival aufgeführt. Bekannte Highlights und unbekannte Perlen - Opern, Singspiele und andere musikdramatische Werke - werden im Laufe von sechs Wochen aufgeführt und aufgezeichnet. Während Anna Netrebko bei der Eröffnung in „Le Nozze di Figaro“ als Susanna brillierte, hatte die Arbeit der Tonmeister an der Audio- und Video-Aufzeichnung längst begonnen. Für den guten 5.1 Surround-Ton, sprich den vollständigen Produktionsprozess von Aufnahme, Mischung bis zum Mastering, stellt XXX die Software XXX zur Verfügung. Für die Mehrspuraudiomitschnitte sind bis zu zehn XXX-Systeme im Einsatz.


 

XXX ist eine High Definition Digital Audio Software für den PC, spezialisiert auf die Bereiche Media- und Post-Production, Broadcast und Mastering. „Der Vorteil dieser Software-Lösung, gerade bei diesem großen Live-Projekt, ist der geringe Hardware-Aufwand. Direkt vor Ort am PC bewerkstelligt das Programm komplexe Aufgaben ohne spezielle DSP. Der Funktionsumfang von XXX ermöglicht es, ohne weitere Plug-ins das komplette Projekt bis zum fertigen Master zu bearbeiten“, sagt XY, Toningenieur bei den Salzburger Festspielen. Das bearbeitete Material wird in diversen Radiostationen und in sieben Live-Übertragungen im TV gezeigt. Eine Auswahl des kompletten Programms wird zum Ende des Jahres als CD oder DVD im Handel erhältlich sein. Dabei wird das gesamte Editing und Mastering mit einem Team von 24 Tonmeistern und XXX geleistet.

Berlin, 28 July 2006 – For the first time ever, all 22 stage works of Mozart are being performed at a festival. Having already started, the next six weeks will see famous masterpieces and lesser-known pearls – operas, musical comedies, and other musical dramas – being performed and recorded in Salzburg. While Anna Netrebko was busy pleasing audiences as Susanna at the opening night of "Le Nozze di Figaro", the sound mixer's job of recording the audio and video was already in full flow. The production process, ranging from the recording to mixing to mastering, and the resulting high-quality 5.1 Surround Sound is being made possible by XXX with up to ten XXX systems for multi-track audio recording in use at any one time. 

XXX is a High Definition Digital Audio Software package for the PC, specializing in the 'media and post production' and 'broadcast and mastering' areas. "The advantage of this software solution, especially with large live projects like this one, is that the hardware demands are minimal. The program arranges complex tasks directly from your PC without the need for any special DSP. The functionality of XXX lets you edit the entire project up until the finished master without any additional plug-ins" says XY, sound engineer at the Salzburg Festival. The edited material is scheduled to be played on diverse radio stations and in seven live television broadcasts. A selection of the complete program will be available in the shops as a CD or DVD by the end of the year. This version will have the whole editing and mastering work carried out by a team of 24 sound mixers using XXX.
